Mindful Crochet Along (CAL) has now launched and I can’t wait to share it with you!
I am super excited to share this fantastic news with you! Me and four of my crochet designer friends have been working behind the scenes on an exciting Mindful Crochet Along (CAL)!
Why Mindful Crochet Along?
Where do I start? I think we can all safely say that this year has been … (insert your choice of word). 2020 has turned life upside down and a lot of things have changed dramatically.
So, now more than ever people need some constant in their life to turn to and find enjoyment!
Mindfulness is all about reminding yourself to take notice of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations around you and to be aware of how you are feeling within the current moment.
For me, crochet has been a lifesaver! I can say that it was the one thing that has remained same throughout this turbulent year.
I find that crochet gives me that mindful moment when I can relax and switch off. Immerse myself in my lovely wooly world and not worry about anything just for a moment!
Mindful Day 2020
Did you know 12th September 2020 is a Mindful Day? What a perfect day to launch a new crochet along and work on a beautiful colourful blanket along with other likeminded crafters.

Mindful Crochet Along Blanket Design
This beautiful blanket consists of 5 different parts. Each designer has designed a granny square and rows section.
To keep to the mindful feel of the blanket we have used a wave pattern in each of the 5 parts.
We hope it will give you the sense of calm and mindful time when you can switch off and relax.
But we have also incorporated some more interesting stitches and textures to keep you on your toes.

I will be joining your CAL as it seems like something I can use my stash for as traveling 75 miles to the nearest store is out right now because of COVID & my finances are really low. Can’t sell any paintings or crochet work when things are shut down & my pension is really small so will have to use the yarn that I have. My mother taught me to crochet when I was 3 to keep me busy while she took care of my baby brother & kept the house as well as worked as a bookkeeper. 75 years later I’m still at it.
Thank you for sharing a little about you! It looks like crochet has always been a huge part of your life and that makes me happy. Iām glad you will be joining in with the CAL and canāt wait to see your progress!
Love your patterns. Great colours.
Thank you very much ?
