Yarn I Used For Brenna Crochet Cowl

For this gorgeous crochet cowl from rectangle I used King Cole Baby Alpaca yarn.

It is a DK/category 3 weight yarn which is super soft yarn and it was the best yarn I could have chosen for this stylish cowl.

This skein of yarn has a nice subtle sheen so the fabric it creates has a lovely drape that gently hugs your neck.

There are plenty of suitable alternatives you could choose from. If you prefer, you can choose an acrylic yarn instead of animal fibers. Here are a few I have picked:

  1. Debbie Bliss Aymara – This DK-weight yarn is made of 100% baby alpaca, making it a great choice for anyone with sensitive skin. Incredibly soft and warm, the fibers are hypoallergenic, as they are lanolin-free.
  2. King Cole Natural Alpaca DK – Natural Alpaca DK from King Cole Yarns is a DK-weight yarn made of 100% superfine alpaca. The fibers are hypoallergenic as they contain no lanolin ā€“ perfect for those with sensitive skin. The range of undyed shades includes grays, browns and creamy whites.
  3. Valley Yarns Hampden – Deliciously soft and available in a collection of deep, resonant shades, Valley Yarns Hampden is a great DK-weight yarn to use on those extra-special projects. Made from 50% baby alpaca, 35% fine merino, and 15% mulberry silk, the deluxe credentials of this superior-quality yarn speak for themselves.
