How do you crochet a scrubbie pattern – video tutorial
I have filmed a step by step video tutorial on how to crochet these textured face scrubbies.

Are crochet face scrubbies good?
Crochet face scrubbies are a great alternative to the single use cotton pads.
Firstly, reusable scrubbies are eco-friendly alternatives to disposable pads. By opting for reusable options, you’re reducing waste and contributing towards a sustainable future.
That makes them a great choice for eco-minded individual who does not want to give up on skincare routine, neither do they want to cause extra waste.
Secondly, they are cost-effective in the long run since they can be used for months instead of just a single-use like disposable options.
The great thing is, you can wash and reuse these scrubbies as many times as you wish.
You can also completely customise the size of the face scrubbies. If you prefer them smaller or larger to suit your needs, you can easily do that with crochet.
You can also play around with the shape of your scrubbies. You do not have to stick to the traditional round shape of the cotton pads. Why not make them square, hexagon or oval?
Thirdly, you can also use different crochet stitches to add a little more texture to your scrubbies. Textured pads are great for exfoliating and massaging your face for a better clean and younger look.
Finally, reusable scrubbies are gentle on your skin, unlike some disposable facial pads that may contain harsh chemicals.
What yarn is best for crochet face scrubbies?
Your scrubbies will be put to hard work cleaning your face. Whether it is the friction while using them or cleaning them, the best yarn is 100% cotton.
Cotton yarn is hard wearing yarn that will withstand the friction use after use. Secondly, cotton yarn can be washed at very high temperatures.
This means you can be sure that your crochet face scrubbies will be clean without any make up residue.
Washing and Care Instructions for Your Face Scrubbies
To make the most of your eco-friendly face scrubbies, you must take proper care of them.
After each use, rinse them thoroughly with hot water and hang them up to dry.
If you notice any stains or buildup, you can apply a gentle soap or detergent to the scrubby and massage it in with your fingers. Make sure you rinse them thoroughly until the water runs clear.
It’s important to avoid using any harsh chemicals or bleach on your face scrubbies, as this can damage the fibers and reduce their effectiveness.
You also do not want any bleach or harsh chemicals residue left on your scrubbies.
If you’re washing them in the washing machine, be sure to place them in a mesh bag and use a gentle cycle with hot water.
To extend the life of your reusable face scrubbies, it’s a good idea to rotate them regularly and replace them every few months.
This not only ensures that they remain hygienic and effective, but also gives you a chance to experiment with new colors and textures.
By taking the time to care for your face scrubbies properly, you can enjoy a sustainable and enjoyable addition to your skincare routine for years to come.
