This is a free crochet hooded bear sweater pattern for your little ones – Hug Me Bear Hoodie. Super warm and snuggly crochet kids sweater to make.
I am so excited to be sharing this cute design with you! It is a design I designed a while ago for Crochet Now magazine.
Now, it is finally time to share it with you, so you can have a house full of cute crochet bears!
Crochet Hooded Bear Sweater Design
I was so pleased with this cute crochet hooded bear sweater when I finished it!
It has cute little details that will make your kids look like cute little bear cubs. It will for sure bring out their wild side.
The design features loop crochet stitch that creates a fun element of a fluffy belly. My little boy loves running his fingers through it and pulling on it.
The crochet bear sweater also has a nice large hood that will keep your little ones warm and snuggly. I have also attached a pair of cute bear ears too the top to finish it off.

Yarn I used for this crochet hooded bear sweater
The yarn I used for this crochet hooded bear sweater makes it extra snuggly. I used Sirdar Smudge yarn which has unfortunately been discontinued.
However, it is a super bulky chenille yarn which is made out of polyester and there are plenty of substitutes you can use.
Here are a few alternatives:
