This is a free crochet pattern for a ripple stitch wrap for women. It is a large rectangular wrap that will become a staple in your wardrobe all year round.

There’s something truly magical about crochet and its ability to capture a moment in time.

We went on a family holiday to Cornwall in 2022. It is a truly magical corner of the United Kingdom with its many hidden treasures.

One of those treasures for me was Minack Theatre. It truly is a magical place with the most stunning views across the sea.

I have tried to capture this moment in my latest crochet pattern – Minack Wrap. I dedicated the stitch pattern and the chosen colors to the theatre in the hope of remembering this visit forever!

The gentle rhythm of the hook, the interplay of colors and textures, and the satisfaction of creating this beautiful wrap with your own two hands is irreplaceable.

A crochet wrap is more than just a fashion accessory; it’s a statement of personal style, a testament to creativity, and a warm, comforting embrace for the wearer.

The Minack Wrap is a versatile and sophisticated pattern tailor-made for women who appreciate both the aesthetic and functional aspects of their wardrobe.

The pattern is suitable for beginners as it only uses simple stitches and combinations with single and double crochet stitches.

It has a twist in the ripple pattern where instead of standard single crochet stitch, it uses back post single crochet.

Instead of inserting your hook into the top loops, you will wrap your hook around the body of the stitch.

The ripple stitch is a crochet pattern known for its undulating, wave-like appearance. It creates a visually striking and textured design that resembles gentle ripples or waves, which is how it got its name.

The essence of the ripple stitch lies in strategically increasing and decreasing stitches along each row to create peaks and valleys.

Typically, this is achieved by working sets of double crochets (or other crochet stitches) into the same stitch or by skipping stitches.

One of the beauties of the ripple stitch is its adaptability to various color combinations. You can create stunning visual effects by changing colors at specific points in the pattern, enhancing the wave-like appearance.

With the remaining yarn create fringe in matching color to each section.

Wrap the yarn around a hardback book and cut through one end of loop.

Divide the strands equally into 14 groups and attach each one to both ends of each dc row.
