A sweater worth making- my Crochet Shoreline Sweater – is another free crew neck crochet sweater pattern right here on the blog. Check out the blog post or scroll down for the free crochet pattern designed in sizes XS-5XL.
My Shoreline Sweater pattern is an easy crew neck crochet sweater make. I designed this crochet sweater pattern in nine different sizes because everybody should make one!
I wanted to design a beginner friendly crochet sweater pattern for a while now. Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to keep things nice and simple.
I have been inspired by the french riviera and shoreline of southern France. My aim was to capture this feeling in a crochet sweater that you can wear all year round.
I think the colour combination of navy and white is so classic and timeless. Paired up with a softer pink colour it creates the perfect pullover to wear with jeans or white shorts.

CHOOSING THE PERFECT YARN FOR YOUR CREW NECK CROCHET SWEATER PATTERN
I have chosen to use Cygnet Yarns DK for my crochet sweater pattern. This yarn is on the thinner side of DK weight yarns which worked perfectly for this crochet sweater.
It makes it a lightweight and breezy crochet sweater that can be worn for most of the year. Here in UK especially.
I really loved the vibrant colours of Indigo blue and White which is such a gorgeous colour combination. For my third colour I have chosen Flash which is a lovely soft shade of pink.
You could use a few different colours for the top part. Lime green, yellow, apricot even mustard yellow would look stunning.
This sweater would be a great stashbusting project too because you could go all out and use different colours!

CREW NECK CROCHET SWEATER STITCHES
For my Crochet Shoreline Sweater I have used herringbone double crochet stitch (HBDC). I have totally fallen in love with this crochet stitch! It is so easy to memorise.
Because by changing just one loop to pull the yarn through you get a totally new interesting looking stitch!
I have made a quick herringbone double crochet video tutorial. In this video I show you how to increase on the sleeve rows.
I also share me favourite way to join yarn into your project securely.
