Beautiful Summer Shawl Perfect For Warmer Months – Free Crochet Pattern
My Felidae Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern is a lightweight make perfect for warmer summer months. It is a beautifully large crochet wrap that will be the new staple of your summer wardrobe.
I love summer walks. There is something quite magical about a lovely walk on a summer evening, isn’t there?
When the sun is low and not so fierce. The cooler gentle breeze is playing with your hair.
Wherever you are walking on a summer evening, I bet there is something quite special about it.
Whether you are near a lovely beach with the sand between your toes and the ocean breeze making the air cooler.
You might be walking through the city centre with all the cafes and restaurant bursting at the seams with people having a good time.
I love walking our dog by the nearby brook. The wide grass banks line the small brook singing a gentle tune as the water makes its way to the final destination.
The tall trees add a backing music as the wind makes the leaves dance through the air. It is a lovely strip of green in the middle of the built up outskirts.
One thing that all summer walks have in common is that things can turn a little chilly quite quickly. When your warm sun kissed shoulders all of a sudden send the shivers down your back.
I love taking my Felidae Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern with me. It is lightweight to carry around with me, yet it provides me with much needed warmth when the sun completely sets.
Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern – Design Process
This beautiful Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern has been designed with Rowan Summerlite 4-ply yarn. It is a cotton yarn which makes this crochet shawl ideal for warmer months as it is breathable.
I used a combination of 4 different complementing colours. These are the colours that remind me of a summer sunset.
The Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern is suitable for a beginner crocheter. It uses an easy two row pattern repeat.
The summer lace crochet crochet wrap pattern is easy enough to memorise and become a slow relaxing project.
You will use a wide range of easy stitches from single to treble crochet. These are grouped in an innovative way to create a ripple effect without complicated increases and decreases.
The finished Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern is rectangular shape. It measures a whopping 170 cm in length and 47 cm in width. I think this is absolutely the ideal size for a crochet summer wrap.
