Free lace crochet shawl pattern in fingering weight mercerised cotton yarn. Make this stunning yet easy-to-make lace crochet shawl for everyday wear or a special occasion.

I am so excited to bring you this stunning lace crochet shawl pattern!

The colors, the style, the stitches are all in harmony and create a stunning shawl. It might look complicated at first but trust me, it is much easier to crochet than you think.

I originally designed this shawl for a Crochet Sanctuary – a crochet retreat in Cheshire – for a guest workshop!

It was an amazing experience to see 30 people crocheting my design and loving it!

Lace Crochet Shawl Pattern Details

The finished crochet shawl is rectangular shape – one of my favorite shapes crochet and wear.

There are no complicated increases or shaping so you can really use a stand out stitches.

The shawl is crocheted in two halves – each half consists of a long narrow strip of lace crochet flower stitches and the main body.

The main body of the shawl is worked across the long edge of the shawl. Once you complete both halves of the shawl, you will join them through the middle with lace join.

For this lace crochet shawl I used King Cole Giza 4-ply. This is a 100% mercerised cotton yarn and it is so lovely to work with.

Get your yarn from Lovecrafts HERE. Or from Knitting Network HERE.

It gives a great stitch definition while still being smooth, silky and so soft to touch.
