This is an easy lacy flower granny square pattern suitable for beginners. Its lacy texture make this a lovely addition to a blanket or a cushion design.
This beautiful lacy flower granny square would make such a beautiful afghan for cooler months like spring or even autumn.
It has an open lacy texture so it might not be the warmest of granny squares, however it will for sure create a lovely throw.
You can use it for cooler evening in warmer months such as spring or early summer.
If you go for the original colors in this design, I think the finished blanket would have a very string vintage or chic vibe.
Lacy Flower Granny Square Design
I have originally designed this cute little lacy flower square for Simply Crochet magazine special granny square issue.
The guys at the magazine approached me whether I would like to design a square for the granny square supplement with hundred designs.
They put this collection together each year to celebrate the Granny Square Day that is celebrated on August 15th each year.
If you wanted to learn a little more about Granny Square Day, check out my Flower Power Granny Square design where I talk a little more about the celebrations.
I was delighted and said yes, that is how I came to design this cute crochet granny square.
The whole granny square consists of just seven easy to follow rounds.
The square starts with a circle that is later turned into a sure by adding four corners.
The last couple of rounds use the classic granny stitch of 3 double crochet stitches cluster and chain spaces.

Yarn I used for lacy flower granny square pattern
For this beautiful lacy flower granny square I used Hobbii Acacia yarn. This is 51% cotton + 49% acrylic mix yarn.
“The cotton adds breathability and comfort while the acrylic makes the yarn lighter and helps keep its shape. A perfect combination where both acrylic and cotton get to show their best qualities. “
You can also substitute this yarn or go stash diving if you prefer. However, I do think that the cotton element will make your stitches neat and give them a great definition.
