This is a free round crochet coaster pattern that adds a little vintage vibe to your home decor. The pattern is very versatile and can be made into various other items too!
Are you looking for a quick and easy crochet project with stunning results? Thinking of adding a little lace vintage vibe to your home decor?
Then this round crochet coaster pattern is definitely for you!
I love how quick and easy these crochet coasters are to make. Although they are easy, I think they will look stunning in any home.
The combination of lace and fine yarn make them look vintage, however they will fit into any modern living space.
Secondly, you can also use this versatile pattern for many other items like placemats or rugs. All you need to do is switch the yarn weight and hook size.
By doing so you will achieve a completely different result.
Round Crochet Coaster Design
I will show you a few combinations of hooks and yarn weights and what results you will get using them.
The round crochet coaster pattern uses 4-ply cotton yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook. You will achieve a crochet coaster that is 14 cm in diameter.
Secondly, you can also use T-shirt yarn. This would be my first choice to make a crochet rug. However, you can also use DK weight yarn. You can hold 6 strands of DK weight together to make a thick yarn.
Combined with 15 mm crochet hook, you can create a custom colour rug to fit into your decor. I think this is also a great way to use up any leftover yarns.
Check out Free Round Crochet Rug Pattern ā Solar Circle Rug page with more details and yarn quantities.
And last, but not least you can combine this pattern with DK weight yarn and 4 mm crochet hook. This will be the perfect size for a crochet placemat.
