I have always admired crochet doily patterns. They create stunning patterns and use intricate stitches and techniques.
I find them great crochet projects when you want to get stuck into a complex crochet project.
I am always amazed at the different, very often quite simple techniques they use. However, the end results are stunning!
I think they make a great addition to any home decor. If you make them in plain color, you can easily incorporate them into your home.

I have been inspired to put this collection together as I have recently had the pleasure of mending a crochet doily that was over 60 years old!

She treasured this doily so much, so it was a real pressure to do a good job and preserve this work of art! I have made a quick video of the process you can watch below.
This beautiful doily was so fragile and precious that I felt quite nervous!
