This is a great collection of free crochet scarf patterns. All these scarves are suitable projects for beginners.

Scarves do not require much shaping if any at all. That is why they are desirable projects for people just starting to crochet.

I have chosen some real pretty crochet scarves both for men and women. However, because they are easy projects they are also super easy to adjust.

All you need to do if add extra stitches and rows if you wanted to make your scarf bigger. For a smaller one, reduce the number of stitches and rows.
